Waffle cones have a very high sugar content, even higher than sugar cones. This makes them very fragile. We compensate for the natural fragility in the following ways: Special foam packaging, much lower shortening content, and since introducing fiber, we have experienced a truly dramatic reduction in breakage. In fact, breakage has been reduced to such an extent, that it has become a non-issue.
